Obituary of Donald Roy Miller
Donald Roy Miller, in his 91st year, passed away peacefully at P.R.H.C on May 12th, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Don will be remembered for his love of family, music, camping, and summertime BBQs. He was a dedicated father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose kindness, humour, and steady presence touched many lives. He proudly served as a member of the Lions Club for many years and was a long-time employee of Quaker Oats.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of over 65 years Mary Miller (nee Jentzel). Beloved father of Lori Redpath (Larry) and Steve Miller (Lori). Cherished grandfather of Jason (Sasha), Candice (Kyle), Michelle (Paolo), and Jessica. Proud great-grandfather of Owyn, Logan, Ethan, and Noah. Donald is survived by his loving sisters Marilyn Symons (Jim) and Betty Mills (David). He is predeceased by his sister Dale Wellwood and brother-in-law Ben.
Don will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A graveside service will take place on May 23rd, 2026 at 11:00am at Lakefield Cemetery, 1262 Buckhorn Rd, Lakefield. With a celebration of life to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 77, 10 Nicholls St, Lakefield at 12:30pm.
