LOIS MARY HUTT
Oct 25, 1945 – May 28, 2026
Lois passed away in Bobcaygeon Ontario at the age of 80.
Lois was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, and practiced family medicine in the GTA until her retirement. As a physician, she was deeply appreciated for her wisdom, compassion, and accepting approach to care.
Lois fulfilled her dreams by building a home with her husband Peter on White Lake in the Kawarthas, and spending winters at her second home in Naples, Florida.
A dedicated member of the recovery community, Lois found strength in service and friendship and generously shared both with others. Through her kindness and support, she formed many lasting friendships and touched countless lives.
Lois is survived by her children, Tanya and Joseph; and her grandchildren, Sabrina, Rebecca, Avery, and Lizzie.
She is survived by her brother Jim, her sisters Ellen, Paula (Errol), and Rita (Adam), Lynne (Don), Kim, and Paula (Dan), and by many nieces and nephews.
Lois was predeceased by her beloved husband, Peter, her mother Theresa, her father Jim, her brothers Michael and Bill, her sister Sharon, nephew James, and granddaughter Sara.
Lois will be dearly missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and neighbours, and her many friends in the recovery community in Peterborough, Lakefield, and Naples.
A Celebration of Lois’s life will be held at the Marshland Centre in Lakefield Sunday July 12th at 1:00 PM.
