DAVIS: Braden Grant
Passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on June 7th, 2026. Braden Davis of R. R. #3 Lakefield in his 81st year. Beloved husband of the late Gwen Davis (nee Graham). Dear father of Terri-Lynn Jacobs (Allan) of Red Deer Alberta and Larry (predeceased). Grandpa is remembered by Amanda, Joe, Michael, Justin, Bailey, Dan, Taylor, Laurie, Hailey and Christopher, as well as 13 great-grandchildren. Survived by his brother Don Gelling (Gladys) of Peterborough and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Russell and Viola, sister Barb McConkey (Glen) and cousins Sally Reid (Art Eaton).
He dedicated his life to work at Doughty aggregates for 50+ years, and worked into his 80th year at the gravel pit. Braden also dedicated 30 years as a volunteer fireman with the Smith Township fire department. Family was the most important thing to him, it’s what gave his life the most meaning. He loved his Friday night card games with neighbours, working on the farm, and collecting pens everywhere he went. He was always busy and always available to lend a hand to anyone who needed it.
