Obituary of Bill Taylor

Passed away at home on June 30th, 2026, at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Leanne Connor. Loving friend of Glennis Taylor. Dear father of Ada Clorise Taylor (Josh Smoke), Anthony William Seager, and Amber Jane Seager-McCrossin (Adam McCrossin). Beloved Papa of Destiny Love Taylor, Colton Andrew Seager, Dylan Howard McCrossin, and Emma Lee Seager. Predeceased by son Grant Burwell, parents, Marion Taylor (nee Ward) and Burwell Taylor and sister Grace. Bill is survived by siblings Ada (d. Clarion), Connie (d. Dave), Claudia (Gerry), Charlie (Joyce), Jim (Tracey), Bobby and Jackson, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Bill was a quiet, gentle man and tried to see the good in everyone. He cherished and loved his family and friends. Bill's kindness showed through the many times he went above and beyond to help those he valued and respected. Bill could fill a room with laughter but could also be a strong shoulder to lean on. 

Bill enjoyed peaceful afternoons, whether that was catching a nap on the living room floor under the warm sun in his younger years or in more recent years, being at his camp alone before his friends showed up for a game of cards. Many of Bills afternoons were spent playing a scrabble game or enjoying the breeze in the backyard with his Leanne. 

Bill loved his children immensely, even as adults he took care of them by dropping off goodies, showing up to make his famous soup, reminding them to keep up their vehicle maintenance and always making sure they had a little extra money in their pockets. 

One of Bill's greatest joys was being Papa to Destiny, Colton, Dylan and Emma. There was nothing he loved more than to see them happy and laughing. He was consistent in showing up for all of them in his own special way. 

Bill was known as a hard worker. Early mornings meant work was done before noon which made for more enjoyable days. He could fix a car, build a house or carve a piece of wood into something useful. His talents and creativeness were admirable.

Bill will be remembered for the strength he carried, both physically and mentally. If someone told him he couldn’t or wouldn’t, he found a way to prove them wrong. His strength was what gave him more time with his family time and time again. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES - LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. A Celebration of Life will take place on July 11, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Curve Lake Community Centre.
