Passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Friday July 17^th, 2026.  Jack May of Big Cedar Lake in North Kawartha in  his 89^th year.  Loved and missed by his wife of 65 years, Welma (nee Jones).  Also missed by his daughters Heidi Murray of Almonte and Elizabeth May (Deanne Nelligan) of Buckhorn.  Dear grandpa of Christine Worr and Erika Oldridge, both of Peterborough and great grandpa of Camille, Vera and Aria.  Survived by his sister Dorothy Lee of Irondale and several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his brothers Robert May (Madeine),  Doug May (Aileen) and brother-in-law Tom Lee.  Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Thursday July 23^rd  from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  A funeral service will be held at Young’s Point United Church, 2745 Chalmers Avenue, Young’s Point on Friday July 24^th at 1:00 PM.  Interment Lakefield Cemetery.  Following the service a reception will be held at the Young’s Point United Church.  Memorial donations may be made to Young’s Point United Church as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
