MILES, Robert (Bob) Neil

Passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on July 18, 2026 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Patricia Miles (née McIlmoyl) for 59 years. Dear father of Blair (Margaret Stuart) Miles and Darrell Miles. Devoted grandfather of Dana (Brad MacPherson) MacKenzie and cherished great-grandfather of Aurora MacPherson. Robert is survived by sister Francis (Brian) Alldred, sisters-in-law Nancy (Dan) Bedford and Bonnie (Sterling) Zeran, and brother-in-law Tom (Lori Pettersone) McIlmoyl. Predeceased by father Archie Miles (1994), mother Winona Miles (née Munro) (2008), and brothers Fraser Miles (2016) and Wayne Miles (2010). 

Robert worked for General Electric for 41 years as a welder and fitter. He had a passion for hunting, fishing and ATVing, and just enjoying the outdoors. He was a handyman, known for being able to fix anything. Robert loved classic cars, and had a 1953 Dodge truck that he built himself, and won many awards at classic car shows. Robert enjoyed playing guitar, and attended and played at numerous bluegrass festivals. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES – LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. A Celebration of Life will take place on August 29, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Norwood Legion, Branch 300, 27 King Street, Norwood.
