Robert Hall

Obituary of Robert Henry Hall

Robert (Bob) Henry Hall was born on October 5, 1955, in Peterborough, Ontario, and passed away on July 18, 2026 in Kitchener, Ontario after a brief illness. He lived a life defined by love, hard work, laughter, and kindness, forming countless memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Bob will be sadly missed by his wife, Linda (nee O’Grady), to whom he was married for 47 years and his twin daughters, Katie (Mike) and Allison (Mark), who were his greatest pride. Bob was a devoted grandfather to Kara and Benjamin, who brought immeasurable joy to his life and who will miss him deeply.

Bob will also be dearly missed by his sisters, Linda Lustic and Patsy Rutherford (Gord), and their families, and by the O’Grady family: Maria, Anita, Debra, Terry, and Christopher (Karissa). He is predeceased by his parents, Jean Sloan (Booth) and Henry Hall, his brother Laurie, Linda’s parents Bernadette (Bunny) (Carlow) and David O’Grady and his brothers-in-law Ron Lustic, Michael Rutherford, Glen and Michael O’Grady.

In 2013, Bob and Linda decided to move to Kitchener to be closer to their daughters and their growing families. Bob was an incredible father, but he especially cherished being a grandfather. He loved dropping off donuts when Kara or Benjamin were home sick from school, playing with them in the pool, and cheering them on in their acting, music, and sporting pursuits—though he never quite came around to baseball.

Bob worked for nearly 30 years at General Motors in Oshawa. After retiring in 2006, he was able to spend more time with family and friends. Whether he was playing cards (“It’s a good game played fast!”), helping to prepare a big dinner for the family (“If you go home hungry, it’s your own fault”), playing a round of golf (“Are you going to make me putt that?”), or enthusiastically singing along to the radio (usually a little off-key), Bob found joy in being with the people he loved. He also treasured the special times shared with his dear friends Mike and Patty O'Connor.

Bob will always be remembered for his kindness, his willingness to lend a hand, his laughter and of course, his signature style of jeans and a blue t-shirt.

His family will miss him deeply, cherish his memory, and carry his love with them forever.
