Obituary of Nancy Tennier
TENNIER, Nancy Alice
It is with profound sorrow that we share the news of our mother’s passing at Ross Memorial Hospital on August 14, 2026 at the age of 78. As with everything she did, she went with grace and was surrounded by love. Nancy Tennier (née Cradock) of Bobcaygeon was the beloved wife of Joe Tennier. Dear mother of Amy (Nelson) and Lee (Markus). Cherished grandmother of Daniel, Devin (Kate), Carter (Marissa), Isaak and Isobel, and great-grandmother of Gray, JoJo, and Rosie. Nancy is also dearly missed by her sister Louise (Glenn), cousins Rose and Marj, many nieces and nephews, and other extended family. Predeceased by parents Ted and Edith Cradock and brother Neil.
Nancy was a long-time resident of Bobcaygeon, and contributed to the community through her businesses North End Family Restaurant, Princess Restaurant, Windsong and Nancy Knits, her membership in the congregation of Trinity United Church and later Knox Presbyterian Church, and her volunteer work in the community through Community Care, Lioness and knitting for the
Bobcaygeon Food Bank. She loved to garden, knit, dance, craft and sing. She passed on her passions to her children and grandchildren. Her home was always open for anyone in need of a meal, a safe space, a hug or a cup of tea. She was always ready to share her time and advice with family and friends when they needed her.
Arrangements have been entrusted to HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES – MONK CHAPEL. A Celebration of Life will take place at Knox Presbyterian Church, 6 Joseph Street, Bobcaygeon, on Saturday August 29th from 1 pm to 4 pm.
