Don & Debbie My thoughts are with you and feel real sad that Stans time has come. Over the past few years I have been so pleased that Stan was able to stay at Jack's and I know that this only happened with your continuous support..Stan and Tom Mann were very much alike in there desire not to leave Jack's. Stan had a great retirement and contributed greatly to the lake and town communities Ambrose

We were very sad to hear of Stans passing. We always looked forward visiting him at the beginning of each summer. Even though our boys are grown they still speak of him with great fondness. May your family only enjoy better times from now on. All the best from the Steinman/Wasser family

Please accept our deepest sympathy for your loss. Jack's Lake won't seem the same without Stan across the bay. We always looked for his light. And, we always knew the road would be in perfect shape each Spring because of all his dedication and hard work. Even though we will miss him, it's good to know he went to meet his Maker where he was happiest; at the cottage. I like to think that he is with Doris now and also visiting his old friends, Bob and Ike Wagar, and George Long, and the others that went there before him. I bet they are having a party!

Dear Don and the Perrin family, We are so sad to hear of your dear father's passing. We first met Stan when he came to our cottage on his ATV to talk about The Road. Now that was many moons ago and since then, every year we made an effort to visit with both your Mom and Dad. They were our link to what was happening on the lake. Stan was always so generous with his time and we are grateful for the years that we knew him. The tribute in The Star was wonderful, so befitting the man we knew. Jack's Lake has lost one of its legends. We will miss him. May he rest in peace. Our sincere condolences. Carol & Michael Kolb

Stan... Not long after arriving at Jack Lake, I stumbled upon you in your workshop. Repairing roadboxes... personalizing signposts...those simple but time-consuming things that you and Fred did to give us all a feeling of belonging at Jack Lake. Thank you and Godspeed...Dona Cauchon

Don, Debbie & Nancy, I'm so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He and Doris were such wonderful people... so kind and pleasant. I will always remember the first winter I was living fulltime at Jack's Lake. After a particularly nasty, icy snowstorm, Doris called to find out how I was faring. I told her I was just fine, but I was out of coffee. Next thing I knew, Stan was motoring down my driveway on his ATV (with chains on the wheels), bearing a tin of Nabob for me. And then he plowed my driveway! I hope the countless memories of their adventures at Jack's Lake bring you comfort in the coming days. I'm sure Stan and Doris will be watching and laughing as your families' antics at the cottage continue in the years to come. Fondly, Regis
