I am so sorry to learn of Kaye's passing. She was a lovely lady and so proud of her family. She spoke often of them when she was in the store where I worked. She will be missed. My Condolences to the family Val Roberts (Lakefield Animal Welfare Society)

Dear Shirley and Bob, We wish that we could be with you today to share in the celebration of your Mom's life. We were away and just read the notice of Kaye's death in the paper on our return. She surely knew how much she was loved and that will be of great comfort to you today and in the future. Our thoughts are with you and the family. Love, Beverley and John

Shirley, Bob, and Pat Bob and I send our deepest sympathy at this difficult time. Your Mom held a special place in our hearts. I have so many fond memories of the years we have known each other. We had so many happy times together at the cottage, at dance recitals, school functions ... It was especially wonderful that our Moms became even closer friends in their later years. I have an especially fond memory of your Mom and mine sitting facing each other at opposite ends of the sofa, knees drawn up, feet on the sofa, giggling like teenagers only days before my Mom passed away. They left wonderful happy legacies for us to remember. Love to you all.

Dear Shirley, I am so sorry about Kaye. She was so strong and such a bright light in the world. Manuela and I will both miss her presence very much, but know her kind spirit is always around us. I hope you know how much we care about you and how much we both love you. We will both be in Cobourg this summer to plant a tree to commemorate and celebrate your Mom's life. Much love, Sandy

So sorry we couldn't make it to Aunt Kaye's funeral but time and distance did not permit. I am so glad we were able to get together with her at Jenn and Greg's wedding this past fall. It was great to see her, enjoy her company and of course to listen to the family stories. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I'm sorry I'll miss the service. I met Kaye over 40 years ago when Colleen was walking Beans and said she'd like me to meet her mother as she thought we would get along. We did and became fast friends and even though I moved away we stayed good friends and I always considered her my best friend. I shall miss her greatly. My heart goes out to you and Pat

Dear Shirley I read of you Mother's death in the Globe this morning and did want to offer my sympathy to you. As I don't have an address for you, this seemed to be the way to reach you. I fondly remember both your parents so well from our days in Ashburnham. Your Mother was always so gracious, friendly and of course perfectly dressed. It was so nice to see both of you by chance at the PCVS reunion a few years back and to have a visit at that time. Mothers are such special people and I know you will miss her terribly but I'm sure you will find comfort in the many fond memories you must have of her. To this day, I miss my Mom and there is many a time I wish I could ask her something but life goes on as both our Mothers would wish for us. Dunc and I are enjoying life in Southampton but we seem to be busier than when we were working - Dunc on town council and various committees and boards and me with volunteer work with the hospital and church, playing bridge etc. Our family has to book ahead if they want to come up as the calendar fill up quickly! My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sincerely. Mary

Kaye will always hold a special place in my heart and I will never forget her or Kallie. We had a special friendship and she was always there for me. Her gentleness and humour and her love of life; especially the birds and other small animals (except moles) are a true example for me to live by. Thanks Kaye for allowing me to share in your life. Your Friend, Robert.
