Obituary of Daniel "Dan" George Wilson

WILSON, Daniel George “Dan” Passed away peacefully at the P.R.H.C. on Thursday April 28, 2016 in his 79th year. Dan was a truck driver for many years including over 30 with T.P.T. and 20 years with Trentway Wagar/Coach Canada. He was a longtime active member of the Lakefield United Church, a member of the A.O.T.S., and a dedicated volunteer with Community Care, Lakefield for 20 years. He and Evelyn spent many hours together square dancing and camping. Loved and missed by his wife Evelyn (nee Freeburn). Also missed by his children Kathryn Hurl (Ron), Kelly Wilson (Joan), Kent Wilson (Lori) and Krista Dunford (Art). Loving grandfather of Nick (Nicky), Taylor, Keely, Emma, Lucy, Jesse, Abbey, A.J. and great grandfather of Jade and Perrin. Dear brother of Paul (Dianne), Clark (Isobel), Barry (Ruth), Marilyn Hayward (Grant), David (Candy), Philip (Elaine), Peter (Joanne) and Greg (Sheila). Brother-in-law of Anne Wilson, Sylvia Pearson (Harry) and Tom Freeburn (Donna). Predeceased by is parents Max and Lulu, brother Doug and brother-in-law Neil Freeburn. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Monday May 2, 2016 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM. A funeral service will be held at Lakefield United Church on Tuesday May 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Interment Lakefield Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Church Hall.
