Obituary of Catherine Ann Hickey

HICKEY: Catherine Ann “Cathy” It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Cathy on Friday April 21, 2017. Cathy Hickey (nee Collins) of Douro-Dummer in her 78th year. Loving wife of the late Maurice Joseph Hickey (d. November 18, 2015). Cherished mother of Kevin (Erin), Maureen Thorndyke (Dan), Neil (Christina), Karyn Brady (Scott), Janet, Pat (Kelly), Paul (Jennifer), Mike (Kelly), Jim (Shannon), Theresa Greavette (Greg) and Bryan (Chantal). Nana will always be loved and remembered by her 27 grandchildren Alex, Jane, Jocelyn, Keira, David, Maggie, Joey, Jaclyn, Adrian, Abbey, Gavin, Elizabeth, Kate, Sam, Beth, Owen, Nathan, Jack, Will, Faith, Ethan, Noah, Mya, Gabe, Eve, Lena and Sadie. Also remembered by her brother Paul Collins (the late Trish), brothers-in-law Vincent (Teresa) and Cyril (Maggie Roy), sister-in-law Bev Hickey and daughter-in-law Loree Lee. Predeceased by her parents Neil Collins and Frances (O’Keefe). Friends and relatives are invited to call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield, on Tuesday April 25, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Lakefield on Wednesday April 26, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Interment St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Douro. A reception will follow in St. Paul’s Parish Hall. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
