Obituary of Harry Rattle

Art is now at rest with his trusted Lord, having passed away suddenly Wednesday October 3, 2012.  Through his determination, his family and friends enjoyed him until age 81.  Art was the beloved husband and friend of Marion (Lane) Rattle for 56 years. Devoted and proud father to his four children and their spouses; Carrie Rattle (Brian Lownds), Sherri Rattle (Jim Morrison), Kelli Rattle (Greg Pfeiffer), Brett Rattle (Freddie Stanley). He adored his one and only granddaughter, Maya Emily Pfeiffer, the “Light of His Life”. Brother to Bev Needham (Russell deceased), Gwen Williamson (Craig), Wilma Rattelle, Dorothy Jenkins (deceased) (Rowland), George Rattle (deceased) (Phyllis), Lawrence Rattle (Rose deceased) and Doug Rattle (Sharon). Remembered by many devoted nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by mother Evelyn Rattle (Hurlburt) and father William Rattle. Art worked at Bell Canada for many years and Royal LePage Real Estate.  He was known for his depth of business ethics and loyalty. He was an ardent sportsman and enjoyed participating in, as well as devoting many hours of volunteer time every week coaching and officiating baseball, hockey, lacrosse, curling and both senior and junior golf. Art further gave to his community through his many years of service to Lorne Park Baptist and Christ Church, the Rotary and Lions Club.  Art was respected by the many friends that crossed his path during those years. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date.  If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
