Allen, John E
Passed away peacefully at his home farm in Douro on December 27th, 2023, in his 86th year. John was the cherished husband of Gail for 51 years, a testament to enduring love and partnership. Loving father to Bonnie Josiasse (Rob), John David, and Brenda. John's legacy extends to his five grandchildren, Madelyn Allen-McKeil, Emma, Abigail, Jake Josiasse, and John Robert Allen-Butler.
In addition to his immediate family, John will be missed by his siblings, Robert (Suzanne) and Margret Gorman (John). He is predeceased by his parents, John F and Annastasia Allen, and his brother, Raymond. John will be forever in the hearts of his many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his 25 years working at the GE, John dedicated his life to raising his family and farming, a true reflection of hard work, resilience, and a deep connection to the land.
Arrangements have been entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. A Visitation will be held on January 2nd, 2024 from 2:00 PM till 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM till 9:00 PM at The Hendren Funeral Home – Lakefield (66 Queen Street, Lakefield). A service will commence on January 3rd, 2024 at St. Joseph Church in Douro (300 County Road 8) at 9:30 AM. Interment is followed by a reception.
