Obituary of Diane Lynn Robb

ROBB: Diane Lynn

We mournfully announce the passing of Diane Lynn Robb, who left us peacefully at the age of 60, on February 4th, 2024. Born to the late Warren and Heather Robb of Markham Ontario. Diane's journey began on June 29th, 1963, in Etobicoke, Ontario. She was the beloved wife of Paul Martin and held dearly in the hearts of her children and grandchildren as a guiding light and source of unwavering love.

Diane's legacy lives on through her cherished children: Chloe (Allan), Chris (Rachel), McGregor (Deanna), Molly (Sheldon), Michelle, and Heidi (Cody). Her role as "Glamma" brought a sense of sparkle to the lives of Sutton Rose, Ivory, Brigitte, Ruby, and the eagerly anticipated arrival of Baby Martin and Baby Wambolt.

Her siblings, Doug Robb (Lori), Kathryn Baldry (Keith), and Susan Garey (Mike), remember Diane as not only a loving sister but as a best friend. Her status as "Auntie Di" made her a favourite of her nieces and nephews: Ryan, Kyle, Sarah, Lucy, Abby, Jack and Danny. Diane's life was enriched by her former marriage to Douglas Harrison and her cherished friendship with Leslie Phillips, along with the countless others whose lives she touched profoundly.

Diane's early years were spent in Markham. She later settled in Brooklin, Ontario to raise her family, and ultimately found solace and joy in Lakefield, embracing the beauty of wine, sunsets and afternoons on the boat. Beyond her family life, Diane's passions included running, dancing, cycling and soaking up the simple pleasures of life, such as floating in her tube, indulging in spa days, enjoying movies and connecting with friends and family over long phone conversations.

A beacon of joy, Diane's vibrant spirit and love for life were infectious. Her hobbies and interests reflected her dynamic personality and zest for life, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.

An open celebration of Diane's remarkable life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 10th, 2024 at St.Thomas Anglican Church in Whitby, Ontario (Brooklin). The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Diane's memory to The Shakir Rehmatullah Cancer Clinic at Markham Stouffville Hospital by clicking the link provided. Her family will forever be grateful to Dr. Trinkaus & the entire team for going above and beyond with their compassion and care.  Friends and relatives may send condolences by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
