Obituary of Melba Mary Kathleen THOMPSON

THOMPSON: Melba Mary Kathleen Passed away at the P.R.H.C., Hospital Dr. site on Friday July 28, 2006. Melba Thompson of Lakefield in her 91st year. Sadly missed by her children Lloyd (Madeline) of Peterborough, Shirley Snider (Richard) of Norwood, Elizabeth McIlmoyle (Bill) of Norwood, John (Gloria) of Lakefield, Frances Hambly (Jim) of Peterborough, Dorothy MacDonald (Len) of Buckhorn and her daughter-in-law Janice Dineen of Peterborough. Dear friend of Bud Hanna. Grandma & Gigi will be remembered by 28 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Survived by her sisters Dora Tedford-Lush, Eleanor Hughey, brother Victor Clements and surrogate grandmother of many others. Predeceased by her husband John, son Billie, sister Ada and brothers Ronald, Cyril, Joe and George. A memorial service will be held from the HENDREN FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, Lakefield on Wednesday August 2, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Visitation one and a half hours prior to service. Cremation. A reception will follow at the R.C.L. Branch #77, Lakefield. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or the P.R.H.C. Foundation as expressions of sympathy.
