Obituary of Robert Alexander SHEARER

SHEARER: Robert Alexander (R.A.F.) Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at The Wynfield, Oshawa on Tuesday April 3, 2007. Robert Shearer of Buckhorn, recently of Toronto in his 84th year. Robert was a longtime upstanding and well respected member of I.A.T.S.E., Local 58, Stage Technicians Union, Toronto. He was the former owner of the Buckhorn General Store (1946-1959) and developed Shady Point Cottages (1952-1966). Sadly missed by his children Linda Shearer of Peterborough and Harry Shearer (Susan) of Oshawa. Also missed by his grandchildren Greg Worboy (Kim), Cheryl Worboy, Jeff Worboy (Jackie), Matthew Shearer (Liz), Katie McCafferty (Marty) and his great grandchildren Jacob, Griffin, Jaime and Easton. Lovingly remembered by his sister Leona Stewart. Predeceased by his parents Margaret and Harry Shearer Sr. and brothers John and Gordon Shearer. Friends may visit at the HENDREN FUNERAL HOME, Lakefield on Thursday April 5, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A private family interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to a charity most meaningful to the donor.
