Adrian was a very special person. I worked with him for many years at the Westwind Inn. He always did something to make us laugh. One time (when he was much younger) he was in the Chef's bathroom for a long time so finally we knocked on the door to see if he was OK. He came out a few minutes later with his hair wet, spiky and a bright pink colour! He had coloured it with gelatin and food colouring! He never once complained through his illness and continued to offer guests his usual excellent presentations of food. Sometimes after he had left work for the evening he would call me on his cell phone to say that it was snowing pretty badly or that the roads were bad and maybe I should think about staying the night at work. Just a little thoughtful gesture. His family was the most important thing in his life to Adrian. And his cooking. He was lucky to have a loving family and a special gift for cooking. We'll miss him. To the Welsh family, Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of your son, brother, and grandson. I got to know Adrian probably at some of his lowest times, as a visiting nurse. Adrian was a true fighter, and always displayed true courage and strength. I can remember visiting him on one occasion when he was very busy preparing a feast for his family and friends. We would tend to the task at hand, and then he would get right back at what he loved best his culinary art. Nothing would stop him from presenting his very best. A pleasure to know this fine young man, god bless, Lynn Grills

Worked with Adrien at West Wind Inn and lived just up the road from him. Adrien made my time in Buckhorn a very enjoyable experience as he welcomed me to join in with him and his friends when ever they were doing anything he always made me feel welcome. Adrien was one of a kind and this world needs more people as warm and welcoming as Adrien!!!!!!!!! God Bless You

Dearest Jennifer and family: It was wonderful to read about Adrian, I wish that I knew him. You must be so proud of your boys Jennifer, they are wonderful people and you have given them such a great appreciation of life and taught them how to enjoy all the moments. Everytime I have thought about your son and about you, I can see you smiling. Your children are your joy and you let them know it. Until you are with him again, may the beautiful memories he made and the support and love of your family surround you. I will be praying that you will be comforted, with love to you, Barb
