Obituary of Thomas Lowes

LOWES: Thomas Fredrick Born September 16, 1918. Of Peterborough, passed away peacefully with his family and kitties by his side at St. Joseph's at Fleming, Peterborough on Friday July 25, 2008, in his 90th year following a stroke. He will be deeply missed. Loving husband of the late Vera McFadden (March 1958) and the late Doris Gardiner (May 1992). Loving father of Douglas, Betty-Lou and Dorothy. Son of the late David and Lena Lowes. Brother of Jacob (Norma), Alberta, Olvie and predeceased by 4 brothers and 1 sister. Loving grandfather of Craig (Donna), Troy (Marnie), Todd (Anna), Mark (Maya), Jason (Erin), Tara (Tim) and Rhonda. Great grandfather of Ryan, Jordan, Paige, Emily, Jacob, Joshua, Sydney, DJ, Marina and Mateus. Loving special uncle to Kathy. Predeceased by step-son Gary. Dad will be sadly missed by kitties Buster, Desi, Simba and Tigger. Tom was a retired employee of Outboard Marine and spent his early retirement years travelling, bowling and playing cards. Friends will be received at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOME, Lakefield on Tuesday July 29, 2008 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM followed by the funeral service in the Hendren Chapel at 1:00 PM. Interment Lakefield Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the L.A.W.S. (Lakefield Animal Welfare Society) as expressions of sympathy.
