Obituary of Vaughn Landon

LANDON: Vaughn It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Vaughn Landon, who passed away at the P.R.H.C. on Wednesday October 22, 2008 at the age of 77 years. Vaughn was a longtime employee of Canadian General Electric, Peterborough, for 27 A?A years. He will be remembered for his love of music, hunting and fishing. Loving husband for 54 years of Fern (nee Ingram). Sadly missed by his daughters Brenda Macqueen (David) of Port McNeill, B.C., Arlene Jessup (Tim) and Nonie Taylor (Dan), both of Lakefield. Dear grandpa of Brad Parker (Lauren), Misty Smith (Trevor), Chad Jessup (Kelly), Dustin Jessup (Karly), Amanda & Curtis Taylor and proud Poppa of Liliana and Evangeline. Also missed by his sisters Dell Neil (Emerson), Norma Campbell (Harry), Pat Hilker (Earl) and sister-in-law Phyllis Landon (Willard Post). Lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews and the Ingram family. Predeceased by his parents Ernest & Florence, brother Elgin and sister June. A Celebration of Vaughn's Life will be held at the Lakefield United Church on Saturday November 1, 2008 at 11:00 AM. A reception and 'Open Jam Session' will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #77, Lakefield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the P.R.H.C., Palliative Care as expressions of sympathy.
