Obituary of Thelma Ward

WARD, THELMA GERTRUDE Passed away at Peterborough Manor on Friday December 12, 2008. Thelma (Tedford) of Peterborough formerly of Douro Township in her 89th year. Thelma worked for 27 years as a Registered Nurse in the Nursery of St. Joseph's Hospital, Peterborough. Loving wife of the late Kenneth Ward and daughter of the late Archibald Tedford and Eva (Bolton). Step-mother of Ronald Ward and the late Maureen Cardwell. Dear sister of Zelda, her twin, Maxwell Tedford, Pearl Lloyd all of Peterborough, Rodger (Marilyn) of Sterling, Walter of Douro and the late Mary & Helen Tedford, Roland, Steward, Olive and Russell Tedford, Beatrice Little and Bertha Duff. Also survived by 8 Step Grandchildren; Rob, James, Jonathon & Jennifer Cardwell, and Tim, Tama (Baliskey) Philip & Paul Ward, step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also remembered by her sisters-in-law Ena Tedford and Dora Lush. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOME, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Monday December 15, 2008 from 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held from Park St. Baptist Church, Peterborough on Tuesday December 16, 2008 at 1:00 PM. Visitation one hour prior to service. A reception will follow in the church hall.
