Obituary of William Beattie

BEATTIE: W.R. ""Bill"" Passed away at the Toronto General Hospital on Friday January 30, 2009. Bill Beattie of R.R. #1 Norwood in his 81st year. Bill was a longtime employee of the T.T.C. for over 33 years. Sadly missed by his wife of 55 years, Ellen. Dad is remembered by Pam Karatzas (Vassile) of Greece, Brian (Judy) of Petrolia, John (Audra) of Toronto and Tom of R.R. #1 Norwood. Dear grandpa of Stelios, Orestes, Alexander, step grandchildren, Laura & Julie and step great grandchildren Brianna, Courtney and Madeline. Survived by his sister Muriel Beattie of Toronto. Predeceased by his parents William & Helen, brothers Thomas & Edward and sisters Jean & May. A Memorial Service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOME, NORWOOD CHAPEL on Sunday February 8, 2009 at 3:00 PM. Visitation two hours prior to the service. (1:00 - 3:00 PM). A reception will follow in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society as expressions of sympathy.
