Obituary of Herbert Parker
(Naval veteran, WW11) Herb passed away peacefully in his sleep at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, ON, on Monday, April 19, 2010. .He was born to Henry Parker and Charity Dewdney on August 16, 1917 at Nogies Creek, Harvey Township, second youngest of seven children. He is survived by his sister, Winnifred Mundy of Ottawa; many cousins, as well as many nieces and nephews and their families. He is predeceased by his parents, and siblings: Doris Hall, Harry, Marjorie Schultes, Arthur, and Mildred Conway. Herb served as a radar operator with the R.C.N.V.R on the North Atlantic during WW11. Afterwards, he pursued a career as a stone mason/bricklayer in the area. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 12th at 2 pm, at MONK FUNERAL HOME, 6 Helen St., Bobcaygeon, ON, (705-738-3222 or 866-393-0063) with a reception following at the Bobcaygeon Legion.
