Obituary of Catherine Butorac

BUTORAC: Catherine Joan ""Cathy"" (nee Macdonald) Passed away peacefully with family by her side at the P.R.H.C., Palliative Care on Tuesday May 5, 2009. Cathy Butorac of Woodview, age 49 years. Cathy will be lovingly remembered for her love and dedication to her family, friends, students and community. Since 1986, Cathy has faithfully served the school communities of Apsley Central School, Young""?s Point Public School and Ridpath Junior Public School. Loved and missed by her husband Peter and their children Makayla and Jonah. Also missed by her sister Susan Hoover (Brian) of Toronto and brothers Kevin and Steven Macdonald (Brenda), both of Vaughn. Survived by her step brothers and sisters Eric Sherman (Denise), Darral Sherman (Helen), Susan Sved (Martin), Cheryl Sherman, Lorraine Levis (Gregg) and Steven Sherman (Lori). Remembered by her parents-in-law Mario and Gabriella Butorac. Also survived by her nieces and nephews, Chris, Mike and Jessica and step nieces and nephews Kirk, Andrea, Jaquline, Jim, Michelle, Michael, Mark, Blair and Maddie. Predeceased by her parents Joan and Don Macdonald, step-father Ron Sherman and step-sister Pat Sherman. A Celebration of Cathy""?s life will be held on Saturday May 9, 2009 at 1:00 PM from the Lakefield United Church, Regent St., Lakefield. A reception will follow in the church hall. Private family interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society as expressions of sympathy.
