DELAMERE: Thomas Rudolf Peacefully at home on Monday May 25, 2009, at the age of 72 years, after a courageous battle with cancer, fought to the end with his wonderful sense of humour and ability to make people laugh. Beloved husband and best friend of Pauline. Loving, caring father of Christopher and special granddad of Lily, who brought him so much joy and happiness. Much loved by Lily's mother Carolyn. Brother of Richard Delamere (Joan); uncle to Elizabeth McManus (Terry), Jenny McManus (Chris) & Jane Delamere Sanders (Jim). Adored great uncle of Devin, Dawson, Glen & Tara McManus, Kaitlin & Collin McManus and Max & Rebecca Sanders. Brother of Gillian Delamer. Brother-in-law of Jean Whewell of England and nephew of Jean Strange of Mexico. Special friend of Terry Ruttle. A Celebration of Thanksgiving for Tom's Life will be held at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Regent St., Lakefield on Saturday June 6, 2009 at 1:00 PM. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall of the church. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. John the Baptist Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
