Obituary of Douglas Heard

HEARD: Douglas William Passed away peacefully at Riverview Manor, Peterborough on Tuesday June 30, 2009. Doug Heard of Buckhorn in his 76th year. Doug was the former owner/operator of Peterborough Electric and a member of the Katchiwano Golf & Country Club. Loved and missed by his wife of 54 years Jean (nee Hall). Also missed by his son Doug Heard (Barbara) of Newmarket and his daughter Kim Armstrong of Buckhorn. Grandpa is remembered by Samantha & Brady Heard and Cooper & Riley Armstrong. Survived by his sister Margaret Foster of Peterborough and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Peter and Wayne. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Friday July 3, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday July 4, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Interment Lakefield Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the Funeral Home.
