Obituary of Helen Blyth

Peacefully passed away at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, on April 29, 2010. Predeceased by her parents Alan and Vera Blyth, her uncle Reginald Blyth, and her cousin Norah Heinrichs. Helen grew up in Toronto, and moved to Guelph at the age of fourteen. She returned to Toronto to train as a registered nurse at Wellesley Hospital. Subsequently she completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in nursing from the University of Toronto. Helen loved her vocation, and after retirement moved to her home in Bobcaygeon that had been built by her Uncle Reg. Helen will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by the Sindrey family – Don, Susan, David (Sandra), Jennifer (Heikki), Janine, Todd (Tracie) and the children who knew her as ‘Aunty Helen’. Her good friends Margaret Cosh, Eleanor and Don Brown, Kathleen and Terry Martin, Nordra Stephen, Marion Pearson, Noreen and John Ueberer, Marina Lee, Jen Maw and the members of the Blue Bird swim club were an important part of Helen’s life. A memorial service conducted by Rev. Michelle Brotherton will be held at Fenelon Falls United Church on Monday, May 10, 2010, at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Fenelon Falls United Church would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks to the IC unit at Peterborough Regional Hospital for their compassionate and competent care. Arrangements provided by MONK FUNERAL HOME, 6 Helen Street, Bobcaygeon. Messages of condolence and donations may be placed at www.monkfuneralhome.com
