Obituary of Donald Brooks

BROOKS, Donald ""Don"" (Member of the Norwood Lions Club, Warden of Christ Church, Norwood and Volunteer for Norwood Community Care) Passed away peacefully with family by his side at the P.R.H.C. on Thursday, September 17, 2009. Don Brooks of Norwood, formerly of Etobicoke in his 75th year. Husband of the late Ellie (Reddick). Loving father of Kathy Patrick (Larry) of Brampton and Linda DeGrace (Jerry) of Caledon. Thought of by Hazel Cross of Etobicoke. Grandpa Don will always be remembered by Kim (Dave), Khris (Jeff) and Andrew and by his great grandchildren Sara, Owen and Nicole. Also remembered by his sister Helen Miller (late Don) of Campbellford and by his dear friend John Cochrane. Predeceased by his sister Beatrice and brothers Bill and Ken. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, NORWOOD CHAPEL on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with visitation to commence at 1:00 P.M. A reception will be held at Christ Church, Norwood following the service. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
