My condolences go out to George's family. George was my high school bus driver into Lakefield, certainly making the ride more enjoyable. We used to ask him to turn the radio on, which he did. He probably found it kept us somewhat quiet and better behaved. It was CFTR at the time. His way of dealing with the older troublemakers was to move the entire party to the front and kind of make friends with them; quite a change from the previous drivers' method of punishment. George was always smiling and friendly. Mom would always say over the years that George had passed on his hello's to us and asked how we were doing. George really was kind hearted and thoughtful, and he will be missed.

We have known George for many years through the school bus. George was a wonderful person, very kind hearted and very thoughtful. We were very saddened to hear of George's passing, but must say that his beautiful funeral and abundant attendance of friends and family at the service were a nice tribute to George. We will miss you, George. Jim and Colleen

Dear Melody and children...We are so sorry for your loss. We wish we could be there for support but unfortunately distance and weather have played a role in our absence. We will always remember George for his humour. Personally, I will remember him teasing me about the details of my trips to Curve Lake...how long it took me and what time I left and of course the speed. He was a very proud man and I will always remember how often he cut the lawn and his puttering around the yard, keeping busy. He always awoke very early and if I was up during the night, I always checked for lights from Shane and Tracy's picture window. These and many other wonderful memories will always be ingrained in our minds. Melody, we offer you our sincere condolences. Louise and Jason
