Obituary of Graham Perkins

PERKINS, Graham 1951 - 2009 Former owner/operator of Lou Dawson Ltd. and Skyline Resort and Marina On December 12, 2009 after a second battle with leukemia our beloved father at the age of 58, passed away at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto surrounded by love and with family by his side. Graham is predeceased by his loving wife of 37 years, Louann (nee Beattie) and is survived by his three children Hayley Van Loosen (Darryl), Justin (Robin) and Ken. Loving Papa to Mason and Lucy Perkins and Leim Van Loosen. Cherished son of Lucy and the late Ken Perkins. Graham will always be loved and remembered by his brother Bryan Perkins, sister-in-law Louise Stewart (Ron) and brother-in-law Thom Beattie. Graham will be forever remembered for his profuse generosity, his infallible work ethic and for his knack for telling a great joke. Always the life of a party, he was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. A captain at heart, Graham spent endless hours on his boats on both Lake Ontario and Chemong Lake. He loved to travel and family vacations are fondly remembered. Though our hearts are heavy, we are comforted in knowing that he is now reunited with his loving wife Louann (2008). Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Sunday, December 20, 2009 from 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. Following the visitation, please join the family at Skyline Resort and Marina; 920 Skyline Road, Ennismore, from 3:00 - 5:00 P.M. to share memories and to celebrate Graham's life. Additionally, a memorial celebration will be held at La Veranda Osteria Restaurant; 946 Royal York Road, Toronto on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 2:00 - 5:00 P.M. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
