BYATT R.S.M. C.W.O. Bugle Major, JOHN SYDNEY (SYD) (WWII Veteran) Peacefully at the P.R.H.C. on Monday January 4, 2010. Syd Byatt of RR #4 Lakefield in his 83rd year, beloved husband of Patricia (McNaughton) and the late Jeannette (Savoie). Dear brother of Shirley Budden of Scarborough, Joseph and his wife Rosemary of Bowmanville and the late George Byatt and Irene Smith (Jack Sawatsky). Predeceased by his parents Isobella (nee Brennan) and Joe Byatt Sr. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Cremation. A Celebration of Syd's Life will be held on Saturday June 12, 2010 at 12:00 pm at The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #77, Lakefield. (Wheelchair Accessible) Visitation will be held from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. A reception will follow the service before interment at Rosemount Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations to The Alzheimer's Society, The Parkinson's Society or The Queen's Own Rifles of Canada Trust Fund or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
