COONS: Betty I. It is with great sadness that the family of Betty Coons announces her passing at the P.R.H.C. on Saturday February 27, 2010. Betty Coons of Lakefield in her 90th year. Loving wife of the late Harold Coons (2001). Dear Mom of Isobel Wilson (Clark) of South Monaghan, Bill (Lynda) of Lakefield, Gordon (Bonnie) of Calgary, Doris Bedore (Bryce) of Lakefield, Dorothy Park (Scott) of Bridgenorth and her late infant daughter Carolyn. Loving Grandma Betty to 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Survived by her brother Mel Crawford (Lorraine), sister Fay Covert and sisters-in-law Norien and Ruth Crawford. Predeceased by her parents Charles & Ellen Crawford, sisters Marjorie Crawford & Jean Sage, brothers Charlie & James and brother-in-law John Covert. A Memorial Service will be held at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Lakefield on Saturday March 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Visitation one hour prior to the service. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall of the church. Memorial donations may be made to The Gainey Foundation or The Huntington Society as expressions of sympathy.
