Obituary of Thelma Tedford

Thelma Tedford June 6, 1914 ""?? May 3, 2010 With much sadness we announce the peaceful and gentle passing of Thelma Evelyn Cleland Tedford in her 96th year on Monday evening, May 3, 2010 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre during recovery from surgery to repair a broken hip. Proud of her birth in the hamlet of Shanly, in Eastern Ontario, she was the youngest daughter of Reverend Albert Sutton Cleland and Agnes Dorinda Sangster. She was predeceased in 2002 by Robert Kenneth, her husband of 64 years. She is remembered as a loving and kind Mother by Robert Cleland (Kathi), Mary Jane Millons (John) and Ian Walter (Jeanette) and Grandmother by Jordy, Matthew, Cameron, Susanna, Jeanne and John, Kendra and Craig and Great Grandmother by George, Harry, Peter, Lucas and Sarah. Thelma was ever gracious and polite to all she met. She lived happily and independently from 2002 at Princess Gardens Retirement Home in Peterborough, Ontario. Her family wish to acknowledge and gratefully thank all those who cared for her at Princess Gardens in a dedicated and professional manner as well as to the nursing and medical staff at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre who caringly looked after her in her final days. A celebration of Thelma""?s long life will be held, at her request, at the Norwood United Church, Norwood, Ontario, on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 2:00 P.M.
