Obituary of A. Gladys Gaerttner

GAERTTNER: A. Gladys (nee Pearce) Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday November 23, 2010. Gladys Gaerttner of Lakefield in her 69th year. Gladys will be remembered by many for the beautiful crafts she made and sold at several craft shows over the years. Sadly missed by her wonderful husband Michael. Also missed by her children Victoria Redpath (Kevin) of Lakefield, Scott Essman of California, David Essman (Vicki) of Arizona, Tim Foster of Kamloops, B.C., Jennifer Payne (Andrew) of Peterborough and Christopher Gaerttner of Peterborough. Loving Grimmis and Nanny of Kristal Ashford, Jessica, Rebecca & Cynthia Redpath, Teddi-Jean Essman, and Raistlin & Amy Foster. Gladys will be remembered by her sisters Heather Triolo (Angelo) of Keswick, Christine Beazer (Bob Horden) of Clear Lake and her brother David Pearce (Jane) of Frederick, Maryland. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Friday November 26, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 748 Cumberland Ave., Peterborough, on Saturday November 27, 2010 at 2:00 PM. Interment Lakefield Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the P.R.H.C., Palliative Care Unit as expressions of sympathy.
