Obituary of Ronald Darling

DARLING: Ronald A. Passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his family at the P.R.H.C. on Wednesday December 22, 2010. Ron Darling of Warsaw in his 73rd year. Ron was a former teacher and principal with the Peterborough County Board of Education for 35 years and will be remembered as a dedicated community volunteer. Loved and missed by his wife of 46 years, Merilyn (nee Jory). Dad is remembered by Jeff (Laurie) of Lakefield and Dave (Leah) of Warsaw. Loving son of Hannah Darling and dear grandfather of Brady, Sage, Wes & Hannah. Survived by his brother Fred of Warsaw, sisters Phyllis Condon (Gerald) of Peterborough, Carolyn Payne (the late Paul) of Warsaw, Debbie Paul (Bruce) of Lakefield and sister-in-law Laura Scriver (Bob) of Keene. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Allan ""Joe"" Darling. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Monday December 27, 2010 from 1-4 and 7-9 PM. A Lions Club Service will be held on Monday evening at 6:30 PM.
