Obituary of Joan Shearer

SHEARER: Joan (nee Martin) Passed away peacefully at the P.R.H.C., on Saturday August 27, 2011. Joan enjoyed a long career in education, teaching in both the Public and Catholic School systems. Loved and missed by her daughters Lindsey and Kristyn, both of Peterborough. Also missed by her dear granddaughter Kayla, her mother Olive and close friend Bonnie Kowalczyk. Survived by her brother Larry Martin of Grand Bend. Predeceased by her father Louis and her son Jeffrey (1978). A private family service has been held. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Hospice Peterborough or an education fund for Kayla as expressions of sympathy.
