Obituary of Laura Loyst (Fairbairn)

LOYST: Laura Ina (Fairbairn) Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the P.R.H.C. on Thursday January 31, 2013. Laura Loyst (nee Bushey) of Lakefield in her 87th year. Laura will be fondly remembered by many as a giving and nurturing caregiver to all in her community through her many years as a registered nurse. She loved many types of sports and could often be found watching many games in the community. Her love of her family and her caring, generous nature will be remembered by all who knew her. Loving wife of the late Roy Fairbairn (d. 1964) and Fran Loyst (d. (1985). Dear mom of Dennis Fairbairn of Peterborough and Doug Fairbairn (Cristina) of Lakefield. Devoted Gramma of Katie, Kiersty, Courtney, Dianna and the late Jordan Fairbairn (d. 1999). Missed by her sister Ruth Tracey and the late Louise Elmhirst (her identical twin) and Evelyn Kolbuck. Survived by many nieces and nephews, Rick Fairbairn, Janet Lawrence, John & Sharon Kolbuck, Doug & John Loyst and Gary & Kelly Tracey. Predeceased by her niece Betty Fairbairn and nephew Brian Tracey. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Tuesday February 5, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at Lakefield United Church on Wednesday February 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Warren Vollmer officiating. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall of the church.
