Obituary of D. Roy Cruise

CRUISE, D. Roy - WWII Veteran Passed away at the P.R.H.C. on Saturday September 21, 2013. Roy Cruise of Lakefield in his 91st year, husband of the late Madeline (Brown). Beloved father of William "Bill" Cruise (late Jan) of St. Catharines, Dorothy Rose (Ted) of Young's Point, Debbie Wells (Paul) of Keene and Millie Artymko (Paul) of Lakefield. Grandpa will always be loved and remembered by his 18 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Also missed by his daughter-in-law Marie Cruise (Russ) and by his several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sons Peter and Doug, brothers Wes (Pat) and George (Alice), sisters Pearl Whitaker (Fred) and Ada Jones (Vic) and brother-in-law Herman Brown. A Royal Canadian Legion Service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Wednesday September 25, 2013 at 2:00 PM immediately followed by a funeral service officiated by Reverend Warren Vollmer. Visitation will commence two hours prior to the service. A reception will follow at the R.C.L., Br. #77, Lakefield.
