Obituary of Harold Gourlie

Age 89, Veteran of World War II.  Served with the 82nd Battery, 4th Anti-Tank, 5th Division As the result of an accident at his home on Monday, November 14, 2011, Hank died on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Ross Memorial Hospital. Husband of the late Verna. Dear stepfather of Bev and Duane (Billie) Richards.  Grandfather of Michael (Cindy), Erin (Rome) and Beau (Honey). Great-grandfather of Michelle, Chris and Tristen; Chantal and Adam; and Connor and Paige. Great-great-grandfather of Taylor. He was the brother of the late Jim, John and Bob. Sadly missed by his sisters, Ruth (Sherwood) and Joy (Cameron). Will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, other family members, his friend Carol Tuck and his many friends at Mississauga Lake and at the Bobcaygeon Legion Branch#239. Family and friends will be received at Monk Funeral Home, 6 Helen Street, Bobcaygeon (705-738-3222 or 866-393-0063) on Saturday, November 26, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. Visitation will also take place at the Bobcaygeon Legion Branch #239 on Sunday, November 27, 2011 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. If desired memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion would be appreciated.
