Obituary of Donald Haines

Passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday July 3, 2013 Don Haines of Bobcaygeon, formerly of Scarborough at the age of 71.  He is survived by his partner Dorothy Black, his five children Neil, Janice, Ross, Dean and Denise, 11 grandchildren and his sister Yvonne Barbuto.  He is predeceased by his wife Colleen.  Don was an avid curler with many passions, including fixing small engines.   He was a very busy volunteer at Kawartha Settlers’ Village in Bobcaygeon.    Some very important person upstairs must have needed a handyman.  Don will be greatly missed by everyone.  We love you Papa.  The family would like to express their gratitude to Kristen Cazabon and Amanda Coates from “We Care Home Health Services” for their support and kindness.  A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held in the Murphy Barn at Kawartha Settlers’ Village on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.  Hope to see you there.  Arrangements entrusted to Monk Funeral Home, Bobcaygeon.  If desired, memorial donations to Kawartha Settlers’ Village, Lakefield Animal Welfare Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
