Obituary of Frank Roberts

It is with great sadness that we announce that Frank Roberts of Bobcaygeon, formerly of Mississauga, passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the age of 92.  Beloved husband of the late Maxine Roberts, loving and devoted father of Jan (John) Carson of Bobcaygeon, proud and loving Grandpa of Karen (Andrew) Blair of Squamish, B.C., adoring Great-Grandpa of Evelyn Blair.  Brother of the late Wilfred (Ivy) Roberts. Frank will be remembered for his strength of character, his sense of humour, his kindness and gentleness, his love and devotion to his family and the joy he found in life.  He enjoyed 32 years of retirement, many winters spent in Arizona, and the last 10 years in Bobcaygeon.  He especially enjoyed travelling, painting watercolour pictures and listening to classical music.  Dad spent the last few months of his life at Kawartha Lakes Retirement Suites and was so happy there.  Sincere thanks to the wonderful staff and owners who cared for him there.  Family and friends will be received at Trinity United Church, 42 William Street, Bobcaygeon on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 12 noon until the Celebration of Life service at 1 p.m. Funeral arrangements provided by Monk Funeral Home, 6 Helen Street, Bobcaygeon (705-738-3222 or 866-393-0063).  If desired, memorial donations to Trinity United Church, Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.  Messages of condolence and donations may be placed at www.monkfuneralhome.com
