Passed away unexpectedly at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Saturday, October 12, 2019. David Matthews of Bridgenorth was 68 years young and beloved husband of Jody (nee. Humphreys) of 41 years and loving dad of Jordana Moore (Stephen) and Jamie Matthews. Granddad will be missed by granddaughter Brooke Abigail. David is survived by his brother Timothy Matthews and niece Rebecca Horton and predeceased by his sister Cynthia Pachl. David was an avid outdoorsman and found joy in spending time at the cottage he so fondly called Horseshoe, with his family and close friends. His passion for hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, fast cars and motorcycles kept him young at heart. David was loved by all and always thought of others before himself. He will forever be remembered for his timeless spirit and zest for life.
