Obituary of Melville Earle MacDonald

Passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Friday, October 8, 2021 in his 79th year. He will be forever loved and missed by his wife Carol (née Lee) and his children, Roy MacDonald (Tracey), Tracy Rafter (Dave), Penny Penticost (Donnie), and Amy Harris (Steve). Proud grandpy of Lyndon and Logan Penticost, Clayton Rafter, and Ruby, Sadie, Oscar, and Emmett Harris. Brother of Alex MacDonald (Patsy), Miles MacDonald (Holly), Lance MacDonald (Yvonne), June Lee (John), Virginia Dupuis (Ernie), Linda Nailer (Jim).  Predeceased by his parents, David and Ruby (née Woods) MacDonald and his siblings, Verda Rusaw (Phil),  and Malcolm MacDonald. Mel will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. 

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES – NORWOOD CHAPEL, 36 Queen Street, Norwood, Ontario on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. A celebration of Mel’s life will be held at the Pentecostal Church, 247 County Rd 40, Norwood, Ontario following the visitation from 3:30 - 5:30 PM. Everyone must wear a face covering. A private interment will be held at a later date at Asphodel-Norwood Cemetery.
