Obituary of Constance Keeping

Passed away peacefully at her home in Norwood with her family by her side on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the age of 95. Connie was an avid hockey and sports fan; she enjoyed watching the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Blue Jays, curling, and the Olympics. Many may remember her ringing her cowbell at the Norwood arena, supporting the Vipers, Norwood Juveniles, and Centre Hasting Grizzlies. She took pride travelling to various hockey games, including the Postal Hockey Tournaments. She loved her family dearly; she was proud of her children and adored her grandchildren, especially her great-grandchildren.

Connie is reunited with her beloved husband, the late James Keeping. She will be forever loved and missed by her children, Margaret Keeping, Linda Morris (Raymond), and Ken Keeping (Susan). Proud grandmother of Adrian Shipp (Jordan), Melissa Nemes (Peter), Andrew Keeping (Kim), and Matthew Keeping (Stephanie). Connie leaves behind her step grandchildren, Frank, Kerry, Natasha, and Alysha (Shawn), eight great-grandchildren and eleven step great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her siblings, Ruth Heaslip, Merrill Charlton, Yvonne Pemberton, and Audrey Henderson. She will be remembered by her extended family and friends.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Connie’s Life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
