It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Diana Melizan (née Rust), Saturday February 26th at Extendicare Lakefield, one month short of her 85th birthday. Predeceased by her parents Gwendolyn ‘Lally’ and Maurice Rust (Dorset, UK), survived by her husband of 63 years Charles Melizan, her children Susan Conway (Todd), Ian Melizan (Sandra), Louis Melizan (Korin), and her 8 grandchildren, Peter, Charlotte, Katharine, Shannon, Ashley, Poppy, Georgia, and Harriet. Missed by her sister, Belinda Ward (Brian) and brother Martin Rust (Diana) in the UK, and cousins, nieces and nephews around the world.
Longtime Proprietor of Three Castles Resort in Buckhorn Ontario Canada, Diana was born and grew up in Trinidad, West Indies and migrated to Canada the early 1980’s with her husband and youngest son, Louis. A funeral service will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Canada.
