CASSIN: Kathleen Ellen “Kathy”
Passed away after a courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, on Monday March 28, 2022. Kathy Cassin of Bobcaygeon in her 85th year. Kathy worked for IBM as a Quality Control Operator for many years before enjoying her retirement. She was an extremely active lady who enjoyed travelling, playing golf and curling. She represented Ontario in the women’s masters curling championship in 2002. She especially loved her grandchildren and followed all of their activities closely, often attending their sporting events. Nana’s golfing tips will be fondly remembered by them. She is loved and missed by her husband Brian and her sons Michael Cassin (Linda) of Whitby and Christopher Cassin of Clarington. Loving grandmother of Colin (Katherine), Kaitlyn, Liam, Emily and Avery and great grandmother of Ellie. Survived by her sister Lorraine Whitwell (the late Vern) of Barrie. Predeceased by her parents Bessie Pinhay and Henry Billings and sister Beverly Carey (Jim) and stepbrother Bud Billings (Betty). A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, Bobcaygeon, followed by a public Celebration of Life at a later date.
