Obituary of Edgar William Rooks
Edgar William Rooks “Boy Rooks” passed away peacefully at home on August 27th 2022 surrounded by his 3 children after a short battle with cancer in his 82nd year.
Edgar will be lovingly remembered by his adoring children: Beverley Hathway, Brad Rooks (Aniisa), and Ryan Rooks and treasured by his doggy woggies: Cleo, Rambo, Corona and Missy who he grew close with over the past years.
Edgar was a loving father and devoted friend who will be dearly missed by all those who knew him from his home country of South Africa (Cape Town) and those from Canada (Mississauga).
Edgar found happiness throughout his life through his 3 children, his love of sports (tennis and soccer in particular), his caring friends and his work with Tim Hortons prior to his retirement in 2006.
He was one of a kind and will be missed by many but in the words of Nat King Cole to everyone that he touched he is and always will be “Unforgettable”.
Family and friends are invited to join the family in a Celebration of Life at St. John's Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium located at 737 Dundas St E, Mississauga, on September 8th, 2022 at 1:00 PM. Reception to follow.
