Passed away at her residence in Barrie, on Sunday December 4, 2022.  Jean Wilhelmina Throop (née Hilyer), in her 96 th year.  Beloved wife of the late Norman Throop. Dear mother of Douglas Throop (Heather) and Brenda Throop.  Loving grandma of Jason Throop (Jen), Amanda Morrison (Jim), Dawn Detta (Richard), Craig Cudahy (Nycole), Jennifer Paquette (T.J.) and many great grandchildren. Jean is survived by her sisters Lucille Kean (Frank), Elaine Runhart, and many nieces and nephews.  Jean is predeceased by her parents and many brothers and sisters.  Family and friends are called to attend a visitation, at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES-MONK CHAPEL, 6 Helen Street, Bobcaygeon, on Saturday December 10 from 10:00 AM-12:00PM.  A funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 12:00 PM.  Interment at Verulam cemetery, following the service.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice by visiting www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705 738-3222.
