Obituary of Judy Anne MacColl

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Judy Anne MacColl. on Tuesday, July 4th, 2023, at Ross Memorial Hospital.  Born in Stratford, Judy excelled in academia, and it was at University; while on a blind date, she met the love of her life, Jeff. After the couple moved to Port Perry, Judy practiced nursing for a number of years before her passion for reading led her to the role of librarian at the Scugog Memorial Library; where she became a familiar face in the community.  Judy had a number of interests and took great pride in the beautiful flowers and plants she nurtured in her garden. Her talent for quilting was evident in the designs and family keepsakes she created. Judy loved the lake and happily retired to the serenity of the family cottage in Bobcaygeon; creating many lasting memories with friends and family alongside the water.    Beloved wife of the late Jeffrey MacColl.  Loving mother of Elizabeth MacColl.  Judy is survived by her siblings Eileen Zinn, Margaret Gipp, Lynn Wormsley, Bill Doherty, Bob Doherty, David Doherty, Mary Ahrens, Joan Doherty, Ken Doherty, and many nieces and nephews.  Judy is predeceased by her brothers Brian Doherty and Jim Doherty.  Cremation has taken place, arrangements entrusted to HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES-MONK CHAPEL, 6 Helen Street Bobcaygeon.  Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, by visiting or by calling 705 738-3222.
