SMITH, Dennis
Passed away peacefully on September 22nd, 2024. Cherished husband to Norma for 75 years, Dennis is survived by his children Peter Smith, Christine (Royce) Williamson and daughter-in-law Rosemary. Dennis will be missed by his grandchildren Amy Smith, Caleigh Smith (Ben), Robert (Emily) Williamson, Jessica Williamson (Gord) and great granddaughters Olive and Evelyn. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins in both England and Canada. Dennis also had three half-siblings in England; Joan, Margaret and Michael. Dennis was born June 4th, 1924 in England and served in the second World War as an air gunner with the Royal Air Force and he later joined the police force. When Dennis moved to Ontario in 1951, he began working for the Peterborough Police before moving onto Real Estate where he eventually opened his own real estate appraisal office. For the 100 years he lived, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Arrangements have been entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – LAKEFIELD CHAPEL. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
